UP TO 8,500 PET DEATHS, FOOD TAINTED SINCE 2006
The FDA press conference yielded new information.
Here are the highlights:
-Of 17,000 calls up to 50% claimed their pets died.
-Pet food from 2006 tested positive for melamine.
No samples available prior to that date.
-2.7 million chickens ate tainted food. In addition, tainted
pet food consumed by chickens in hundreds of farms.
-Will not give clear answer to whether people ate those
chickens.
-No details given on investigation in China. Not even the
number of investigators.
-Can’t rule out contamination in other vegetable protein.
-All tainted ingredients went to pet food companies.

good luck if they can make the chinese cooperate in the tainted pet food investigation fully.
the final solution really is for all north american pet food makers to bring back their manufacturing here.
that's the thing, coach.. they already DO manufacture the food here - the problem is that the ingredients are all from china.. so in theory, you're right though.. even though it's manufactured here but the bulk of the ingredeints are china imports that almost makes the food "made in china", doesn't it? hmm.. this situation is just insane and growing more so daily.
on a lighter note...ready for the raptors to get squeezed out of the playoff tonight? haha

it's dangerous to allow vitamins , foods , energy drinks and other stuff we put into our mouth done over there. i've been to china and i know they don't care much abt. health and safety regulations over there. they don't even bother about their workers health and safety.
as for pet foods , sometime last year, the chinese gov't ordered the slaughter of dogs.i guess that tells us how they care about such stuff.
p.s. :i thought squeeze is only for oranges ? we will be the golden state warriors . we will shock the world !
besides betting on the raptors to win, you're pretty smart.. haha.. you seem to know a lot more than the average person about what really goes on in china.. and you're absolutely right, they can't handle a simple thing as rabies - they're cure for it was to slaughter every dog in sight - even people's beloved pets.. we should ban all 'made in china' food additives, ingredients, etc.. if europe does, why can't we?
